In our last blog update on the schoolhouse, we were pouring the footers in preparation for the foundation walls. The walls are now poured, backfilled, and painted with a waterproofing paint. A mud slab was added and work began on the structure.
The deck and framing went up quickly and the back end of the building was closed in before lunch time. After digging the long trench away from the Schoolhouse, Stacy was able to get some of the pvc piping competed for overflow drains.
The rafters were installed and the metal roof put on. The final step was removing the existing siding and wrapping the building in preparation for the new siding.
Next steps will be adding the electrical, sprayfoaming the interior and installing the plumbing. Still much to do but great progress so far!
