We recently hosted the second annual scrapbooking retreat and the ladies had a great time! Some of our scrappers started arriving on Friday afternoon, eager to start on their new projects! We had a good representation from many different places including Buffalo, Rochester, Owego, Erie and Canada.
Some were experienced scrapbookers and came with their books, equipment, supplies and enthusiasm! Others were beginners and were grateful for the encouragement and instructional help from our “experts”. We were also grateful for those that had brought extra supplies to help those new to scrapbooking get off to a good start. If you have always wanted to scrapbook but didn’t know where to start, this would be a great place to be next year!
Betty Martin led the ladies in devotions and took up the topics of Resting and Remembering. What a great time of encouragement in the Word! The ladies enjoyed sitting near the fireplace on this icy weekend, when they weren’t working hard at their tables of course!
Al McIntee cooked for the ladies and produced some amazing meals yet again. It is hard to say what part of the weekend was enjoyed more – the great devotions, the amazing meals, the time spent working on the scrapbooks or the opportunity for great fun and fellowship! Thanks also to Clyde Tyson who worked tirelessly cleaning pots and pans for the weekend.
Here are a few of the ladies hard at work!
