Summer Round Up is always a special time at camp! This week the campers get to choose a program that becomes the anchor for their week. It could be horsemanship, marksmanship, archery, crafts, ropes/challenge course or camping. Several blocks of time are set aside each day to focus on their selected program.
They will also have a period of more intensive Bible study each day, in addition to the morning and evening chapel times. Our own Jon Benson led the Bible study times, while John Schetelich from New Jersey took the chapel times. John has taught fifth grade for a number of years and had a great relationship with the campers. Add in the skits and Choose the Right Door, chapels are a great mix of fun and learning! The messages were encouraging and spiritually convicting. We will soon be posting them on the website
During the elective times, the Round Up campers can choose from many of the other activities available during the day, even if it had not been the first choice. Here are some of the activities campers participated in during Round Up.
From trail rides through the woods to zip-lining with groups, to maximizing your time on the rifle range, there are always things to do and skills to learn!
There are many other activities that also make Round Up a great place to spend a week. The Octoball pit continues to be a popular place to hang out and of course there are always organized games on the front lawn!
