Over the past two weekends we have hosted our Pre-Teen and Teen Winter retreats. What a blessing we had down here at camp! Gary Foster has directed the Pre-Teen winter retreat for over twenty years and this year passed the baton to our new director, Stephen March. Steve is no stranger to camp or to working with pre-teens! He is also the Awana leader at Scottlea Gospel Chapel!

Our numbers were a little lower this year, but the enthusiasm was as high as ever! Campers began arriving on Friday evening and we were able to get everyone registered and over to the chapel before our first meeting. Bobby Halek was our speaker this year and really engaged our young people in the Word of God as he presented a number of miracles of the Lord with practical applications for today.

Most of our snow melted the week before the retreat with our temperatures in the 40’s! But it snowed again on Friday night – just enough to create some sledding trails! Fortunately we had many indoor games as well to help our young people stay warm!
We are grateful to the many that came to help in the kitchen, dining room, maintenance and in the cabins. We could not do this without you! Thanks again! Please pray that the messages from God’s Word will stay in the hearts of these young people.
